Situation
A community-based nonprofit was evolving: new programs, new populations, new ambitions for expansion. But as they grew, it became harder to articulate where to focus, how programs fit together, and why funders should invest. They needed a clear roadmap for the years ahead.
Engagement
Working directly with the Executive Director, I engaged staff, volunteers, and clients to understand the real impact the organization was having on the ground. I then facilitated the Board of Directors through an exploration of different strategic possibilities to clarify who the organization was best positioned to serve and where it could have the most meaningful impact. Our conversations produced a five year plan with clear priorities and a refined vision for the organization.
Results
With a clear, concrete roadmap, the organization had fresh clarity about what they stood for, how their programs worked together to create impact, where they were headed, and how they would get there. With fresh focus, their ambitions came closer within reach.
